Despite a busy weekend of running across the City, 65 people lined up at the start of the 3rd run in our 10k series. No head torches were needed for this as a lovely sunny evening at Willen Lake made conditions almost perfect.
Ever present William Shippin of Redway Runners claimed his first win in a time of 37:03. Will has improved his time in each race so far knocking 20 seconds of his time since the first race in January. Brilliant effort Will!
Just 4 seconds separated 2nd and 3rd place Tim Inchley of Leighton Buzzard Athletic Club and Andrew Wasdell of Marshall Milton Keynes AC in times of 39:18 and 39:22 respectively.
Buckingham & Stowe’s Victoria Kirschner-Heavans claimed first female for the 3rd consecutive race (can anyone stop Victoria claiming a clean sweep?) with a time of 46:23 followed by Jane Lee of Redway Runners in a time of 47:47 and Abi Gooch in a time of 47:55.
In total 18 running clubs were represented.
