Whether it’s trail running, cycling or triathlons, our BCS Events volunteer team play a crucial role in delivering top-quality events for participants.

Once you’ve signed up, expect a follow-up email from us about four weeks before your selected event with further details.

What to Expect on Event Day
Each event is different, but generally:
- Volunteers for standard events should arrive around 8:30 AM for a briefing and finish by 2:30 PM (unless otherwise stated).
- Longer events may have extended hours, and we’ll provide further details upon sign-up.
Our events go ahead in all weather conditions—rain, wind, snow, or sunshine—so come prepared with:
✅ Waterproof and warm clothing
✅ Sturdy footwear
✅ Packed lunch and snacks
✅ Umbrella (just in case!)
✅ Fully charged mobile phone
We’ll also provide you with a high-visibility vest if you need one to ensure you’re easily spotted by participants and event staff.
Applicants must be aged 18 or older as some volunteer positions are solo.
