The Route and Parking

The route begins at Tanner’s Drive Industrial estate and heads towards Wolverton Road, proceeding towards the bustling high street of Newport Pagnell. The path includes the iconic Tickford Bridge, a prominent historical landmark. The journey continues by Harben House, and concludes at Riverside Meadow. Whether it is for a leisurely stroll or a quick run, the route offers a beautiful scenic view of Newport Pagnell with its mix of industrial and natural landscapes.

We would advise runners to walk to the start or get dropped off if possible to reduce traffic in the start area.

For anyone coming from outside town there will be ample parking a few minutes from the start line in Tongwell (details will be confirmed in your athlete information pack.)

There is limited parking at the finish on Riverside Meadow via Wellend Drive. Please do not park in the roads surrounding the meadow. Once you’ve enjoyed all the offerings of the Carnival event, its an easy 3K walk or jog back to the start and your vehicle.

Please note. If you do park at the finish line (Riverside Meadow), you will need to wait for the roads to be re-opened before you can exit the car park and this may be a few hours wait.

FAQs

The wearing of any in-ear or over ear headphones are BANNED as per UKA Rule 240 S 5. This includes any noise cancelling ear buds.
You will be disqualified from the race if seen using them on the course. This means that you will be removed from the results and prizes you have won will be lost and your time can’t be used.

The reason for this is the event is run under UKA rules and therefore we have to comply with these rules, or we lose our UKA licence, and this will affect all of our events.

BONE CONDUCTING HEADPHONES ARE ALLOWED. (As they don’t cover the ears).

MEDICALLY PRESCRIBED HEARING AIDS
If you are using in-ear medically prescribed hearing aids, then this needs to be declared to the race organisers before the race starts.
