The Endurance Challenge

Race The Night Towcester is all about distance over time.
You have four hours on the clock to complete as many 2.7km laps as possible. You can:
- Run continuously
- Take short breaks between laps
- Step off course to refuel and recover
- Switch runners if you’re racing as a duo or team
There’s no set distance, no pressure to stop, and no requirement to run non-stop. Strategy is everything: pace it, push it, or play the long game.
Winners in each category are crowned based purely on total laps completed.

How to Run?
Solo Endurance
Take on the full 4 hours yourself and see how far you can go. Perfect for experienced endurance runners and anyone looking for a serious personal challenge.
Duo Endurance Relay (Team of 2)
Race as a duo and split the effort. One runner on course at a time, swapping whenever you choose. Ideal for friends, training partners, or clubmates.
Team Endurance Relay (Teams of 4)
Build a team, plan your strategy and chase laps together. This is a true relay format, with only one team member on the course at any one time. Expect tactics, fast changeovers and serious team energy.
DUO OR TEAMS: We want bold team colours, matching kits, fancy dress – the lot. Turn endurance into entertainment and let your team spirit shine. Sports day didn’t end at school… it just got longer!
This is one of the most accessible and exciting team relay races in Northamptonshire, welcoming both competitive runners and first-time relay teams.
Teams and pairs can be all male, all female or mixed!
