MK Summer Half Marathon 2021

The MK Summer Half will take place on Sunday 22nd August 2021.

Big Cow Sports are delighted to introduce our brand-new Summer Half Marathon. This half marathon will replace our previous MK Autumn Run and bring with it a brand-new half marathon route around the wonderful city of Milton Keynes.

The new route will be a 1-lap course and will be officially measured and affiliated through UKA.

All finishers will receive a T-shirt and an eco-friendly wooden medal.

If you complete the MK Summer Half and MK Winter Half (in December) we will add these two times together to give you a total marathon time.

Athletes will need to choose a starting wave when they register for the event.

Waves will begin from 9am.

We ask that athletes wear the appropriate face coverings when collecting their race packs from registration and respect social distance guidelines when around the venue.

If you begin to feel unwell leading up to the event or have any symptoms of COVID-19 we ask that you forfeit your place and do not attend.

If your area is placed under restricted travel, we ask that you do not attend the event and stick to government guidelines.

A more detailed description of our COVID-19 measures can be found HERE.

All race packs will be posted out to athletes.

As this is a UKA event, only bone conducting headphones are permitted.

Athletes will need to choose their own waves upon entering.

If for any reason you can no longer take part in the event and want to transfer your place to another athlete, this can be done by following the instructions here.

All transfers, deferrals and updates to your order (including waves, addresses, T-shirt sizes etc) must be made by 12pm on 10th August 2021. No more changes can be made to your order after this date. This includes those athletes who register after this date.

Charity Partner

Big Cow are happy to be supporting our local charity Willen Hospice with The Milton Keynes Summer Half Marathon 2021.

About Willen Hospice “We are proud to be one of the best-loved charities in Milton Keynes, because of the difference we make for people with life-limiting illnesses and at the end of their lives. While we can’t change the diagnosis, we can improve the quality of life of our patients as they face and come to terms with their illness. We help our patients to live as well as they possibly can, we listen to their needs and we also support their families. Dedicated teams provide a range of support including treatment at the Hospice or in patient’s homes; bereavement support for family members; and therapeutic services. We also work closely with GPs, hospitals, community nursing staff and social workers to make sure that our specialist care is practical, informed and supportive at all levels. Our vision is to always be there to care. To provide that care free of charge, we rely on the generosity of the local community in helping raise £4.7 million every year – that’s £9 every minute of the day.”
